CASE STUDY: Garin Kilpatrick

Matthew Baffington MBaffington

I would like senior staff to begin the brainstorming around how we can better serve Mr. Garin Kilpatrick. His Internet is located at garin.me.

Once we have ample feedback, Webmaster will transform this private post into our Public Internet.

As an addendum to my initial request we just received this from our Corporate Tweeter Homebase:

Clearly, much mis-guidance in this man’s life has already taken hold. This man has already been brainwashed into thinking that Internet — like the Grand Canyon — has been with us all this time, much like the love of a child.

This man strives — as we all do — for his Internet to be “InterAwesome”. Hopefully we can help.

Mr Kensington recalls a time when the Broadcast Radio was eliminating the need for Town Hall Meetings. People back then suffered under the delusion that the microwave emanations had always existed, and that human beings were simply beginning to harness their powers. That kind of fool chatter landed us in Korea.

Mr. Kensington recommends a face to face with this upstart. Somebody corral a few kewpie dolls from Creative to wine and dance this guy into seeing things the B&S Way.

With all due respect, after looking at Mr. Kilpatrick’s awesome-webs, I can’t see anything at all that we’d want to change, would we?

I mean, he’s got *everything* already listed. He’s clearly been a part of the social mediums for a long time; probably since at least 2008.

It could use some music though. Something strong, like “Eye of the Tiger”. I hear you can put that kind of thing in with some kind of middy technology. It’d greatly enhance his visitor’s experience and make it multi-sensory.

And maybe make that bottom logo flash to give it some impact. We’d want everyone to know just how awesome interAwesome really is, of course.

Mr. Baffington, here are my creative thoughts.
Content-wise, he truly is interawesome. I agree with Margaret in that respect. But I feel his site could use a new “look and feel.”

I would start by eliminating the bacteria-like objects surrounding his name. It makes the header look like a petry dish. Interawesome with pictures of a rare African ostrich virus seem contradictory to me.

Second, I would utilize web grid technology to make the organization more pleasing to the eye.

I think he needs to leverage the interawesome brand into the design of the site. Nothing says awesome like animated gif site enhancement. I would recommend implementation of that process.

These are just a few of my initial thoughts. I’ll have a sidebar offline with my creative staff and get more action items from them.
